NATARAJASANA - LORD OF THE DANCE

The beautiful Natarajasana pose in the first picture is dedicated to Siva, the god of mystical stillness, death an destruction, who also is the Lord of the Dance, hence the name of the pose. This difficult balancing asana develops poise and grace. Stretches the shoulders and chest, thighs, groins, and abdomen while strengthening the legs and ankles. You should do this with caution if you have low blood pressure.

We spent an amazing day at the Gawad Kalinga farm outside Manila, teaching yoga to some of the volunteers that help out on the farm. It's a truly inspiring place where they not only help out the local people with housing, but involve them in the farming and starting up businesses. They are also very involved with restoring and helping after the Yolanda Typhoon, with parts of the Phillpines still being in alot of trouble.
If you want to help out, make a contribution to Gawad Kalinga *here*.

Much LOVE! Let's change the world, little by little. All we can do is start somewhere.
