Toddlers and preschoolers love spin art year-round, so we added some doily hearts for Valentines Day…

We filled plastic squeeze bottles with tempera paint thinned a bit with water.
The children placed the doily hearts into the salad spinner and squirted paint onto it. (Yes, they will want to squeeze the entire bottle, so you will need to gently remove the bottle and encourage them to move on to the next step.)
The lid is placed on the salad spinner and then it's time to make the spinner move!
Toddlers and preschoolers could do this for HOURS. They love it that much.
It's all about the process, but the results sure are nice, too!
