Quick Tip Video: Adhering Intricate Dies + Giveaway!
Hello! Today I am trying something a bit new – a Quick Tip Video – where I share helpful cardmaking tips rather than focusing on the making of a particular card. (I am considering doing these occasionally and would love your feedback!) Since adhering intricate die cuts can be tricky, I thought it would be a great topic for a Quick Tip Video. (Although the video isn’t that quick – lol.) I show two different methods using two great new products.

The video shares two methods for adhering intricate die cuts. The first method is liquid adhesive. I like to use Ranger’s Multi Medium Matte adhesive because it’s very strong and dries clear and matte. It also gives you a little wiggle room to move your die cut image around to find the perfect placement. For the cards I created today, I adhered the new Surely Stitched Heart and “Sending” Simon Says Stamp die cuts with this adhesive using a Microbrush. This tool is great because it allows you to get in all the tiny areas of the die-cut and keep your fingers clean in the process. I also use these brushes for adhering my sequins.
The second method is a newer product called, Stick It! adhesive sheets. This double-sided adhesive is very thin and cuts clean and easily. You place the sheets on your cardstock to create an adhesive-backed cardstock. After die-cutting your image, you simply peel off the backing to reveal the adhesive. Very quick and easy! The key to this product seems to be to really press it down to get it to adhere firmly. There are many techniques you can also use this product for. (Stay tuned!)
Honestly, I am not sure which product I prefer for intricate die cuts. I really like both, will be using both, and recommend both. Maybe one will stand out as a clear winner for you to try!
