THE MARIPOSA PALETTE | BERRY MERRY CHRISTMAS MAKEUP

The Mariposa Palette has got to be one of my favorite mixed color palettes from Urban Decay. It comes in this really sleek tin tray and carries a versatile array TEN eyeshadows. It’s a limited edition, Sephora-exclusive palette just for the holidays!

I used this look for the LGV Bazaar I did with my friend Ali because I wanted to show even those who aren’t used to wearing makeup how even colorful eyeshadow can be worn on a regular day without looking overwhelming.

Rockstar (deep eggplant with metallic base), Gunmetal(gunmetal grey with silver glitter), Skimp (pale nude with gold shimmer), Infamous (shifty mauve), Wreckage(shimmery dark taupe), Haight (shimmering mermaid blue), Money (silvery pale green), Mushroom (shimmering fawn), Spotlight (medium taupe with gold sparkle), and Limelight (bronze with gold glitter).

For this look, I used Wreckage on my crease, Spotlight all over the lid, Limelight at the very center, Infamous and Haight at the inner corners and Rockstar near the lashline and on the crease as well. I also made sure to put Limelight at the middle portion of my lower lash line to brighten up my eyes even more. I used Skimp on my browbone to highlight my brows. Imagine that, I was able to use SEVEN out of TEN colors in just one look!

The berry colors in this palette go perfectly well with its golds. Combined, they create quite a festive treat!

I used my YSL Rouge Volupte 19, Frivolous Pink, to make sure the berry shades pop out more!
