Today I'll show you the polish I used as the base color for my
aquamarine (birthstone challenge) mani. It's the first Collistar I officially feature on my blog, and it might sound strange, as Collistar is an Italian famous brand, but until last year I found it too expensive/not enough exciting in terms of shades. Anyway last Spring they released a new collection (Gloss Nail Lacquer) with a smaller size (6ml) and in June they added some duochromes to that line; a couple of them seemed quite pretty...and eventually they became my birthday present (thank you Mum)!
This is Azzurro Camaleonte (chameleon light blue), a light blue shimmer (not very opaque) that shifts to lilac; the change is a "full nail" one (I haven't been able to catch both colors on a single nail). The polish is quite sheer, I had to apply three coats to achieve the pictured result (I tried also layering it on a nude base, but it took two coats to obtain a streak-free surface so...in all still three layers); as you can see brush strokes remain quite visible.
Final thoughts: pretty polish, but not a stunning-gorgeous-wow one (IMHO).
