Trendology: kielo; F/W 2014 Collection

kielo; is one of the Japanese brands I have on my radar ever since Erika Mizuno and Yuta Yajima collaborated together to create the first collection. It's great to see how a brand has evolved over the years, and for this F/W 2014 season, I see a lot of pieces that will fit my aesthetic.

The title of this collection is called MAD ( ) MEN, and it is inspired by the 1960s era in the United States. As usual, the menswear is leaning towards the androgynous style, but this time, I like how the garments are short and cropped. Both menswear and womenswear are injected with the pop art elements (colour palette, print motifs, and appliqués) and this makes the brand to become more cheerful and playful.

Out of all the pieces, my eyes are definitely on the white jacket with big pockets. That piece will be something I want to own this coming season. Overall, this is another great collection by Erika and Yuta, and I am looking forward to seeing what surprises these two will have for us next season!
