As I've mentioned in several previous posts, I'm in the midst of a midsummer wedding blitz. Three ceremonies, three rehearsal dinners and welcome events—six wonderful people being celebrated. While I wish I could showcase a multitude of different looks, the truth is, every dressy ensemble I wear in the next few weeks will be a variation on the above theme.

I know I wrote about a month ago about how I was already planning and shopping for this adventure, but it wasn't until last week when I scooped up this amazing—and I mean amazing—backless Tibi dress on sale that I finally felt like I had some direction. I'll be wearing it (in navy and black, natch) to one rehearsal dinner and one wedding—and just switching up the accessories for each.

Those silver J. Crew shoes (currently available for 40% off of their sale price!) are some kind of miracle, and I'll be wearing them to just about everything, and same goes for my favorite Elizabeth and James Nirvana scent, and Essie 'blanc' on both fingers and toes.

With all these fancy events I've also begun to embrace dramatic earrings again. For a long time I was an all necklaces all the time girl, but with my newly shorn hair and all these fabulous necklines, I'm really into the face-framing power of some sparkling danglers (like these from Lulu Frost).
Oh and one last thing—the Heat Wave. I swear by this matte, stay-put lipstick from Nars that adjusts to your skin tone and looks amazing (yet different) on everyone.
