FOTD: Monochrome, Terracotta

I wanted to do a look where the lips, blush and eye shadow were roughly the same shade. I picked terracotta red, because I love it as a blush and lip color.

Eyes: Marc Jacobs Siren palette
Cheeks: YSL Red Agate and MAC Early Morning
Lips: Laura Mercier Mink
I was afraid that the eyes would turn out too red, so I cheated a bit and blended some rust orange into it. I thought about adding some pale gold, but didn't want to dilute it too much. I need to learn when to stop and leave things be, sometimes.

Annnnd...I need to brush my eyebrows before taking photos.


It's autumnal, right? I can have pumpkin spice lattes now?

I want to try again with a plum, like this look here. I also like the mix of textures - shimmer and matte. Do you have a favorite color for a monochromatic look?
