Weekly Wishes #8

First things first.
I actually had a different post written for today.
It was about why liking a boy is literally the worst feeling in the history of ever.

and it’s still true.

But I decided I wanted to think about it a little bit more.

Last night, I was texting Mary-Keith as she was trying to get the words about love flowing for her new blog series on the Fruit of the Spirit. This is the exchange (also I have like a 60% accuracy for texting so don’t judge.)

That convicted me, because not only had I not prayed about what I’d written in the post scheduled for this morning – I COULDN’T EVEN REMEMBER WHAT IT SAID. I read it at 2 am and realized I couldn’t post it yet. I don’t think anything is wrong with what I said… liking boys really is the worst thing ever. I woke up to one of my best friends texting me a screen cap about the boy she likes and I said “these boys are morons.” I might just publish the same exact post in a few days…. but I don’t know, because I need to pray about my heart a lot more before I can start running my mouth all over the place.

OH. By the way. Mary-Keith wrote about love. I love this:” the beauty of The Fruit of The Spirit is the Spirit.”

So then I realized…. I haven’t linked up with Weekly Wishes… in literally MONTHS. And couldn’t we all use more goals we’ll probably fall short of?

THIS WEEK’S WISHES:

  • Paint my nails
    It’s the little things, people.
  • Send a thank you card to Brooke
  • Finish listening to all of my “B” artists in iTunes
I put this on my November goals (oh I am SO GLAD I looked at that because the month is halfway over!) to help me cross off #36 on my 101 in 1001 list. It’s hard work.
  • Put all of my clothes away.
The struggle. Always so real. I hate the little pile of clean clothes sitting on the floor of my room.
  • Remove all of the coffee cups/mugs/etc from my car.
I have no idea why I have mugs and tumblers and empty coffee cups all over my life. I mean… yes I do. I drink a lot of coffee. But I get in my car and am like “did you guys procreate last night? how do I have no empty cup holders?” Gotta take care of that.

Nothing life changing or big, but this week is going to be SO BUSY at work. We’re hiring all of our kettle workers and signing people up for Christmas assistance, and we have an advisory council meeting and I just started this thing where I take pairs of kids to get hot chocolate at PINES after school on Wednesdays. and we have youth group on Friday. and TWO big events on Saturday.

And that is why I need those cup holders for all of my coffee.

Weekly Wishes always reminds me of my sweet friend Jessica, who I wish I could spend another evening at Disneyland with… like TONIGHT. It was reading her Weekly Wishes that first made me decide to do it on my own.
