kullcandy have launched a collection of headphones and earbuds designed specifically for women, with reimagined acoustics, engineering, and industrial design inspired by Skullcandy’s own team of Athletic Ambassadors, including talented pro­-snowboarder Kimmy Fasani and pro­-surfer Leila Hurst, plus one of our favorite model’s Chloe Nørgaard. So you thought that men had selective hearing? Nope, they just hear differently to women, and the collection’s audio drivers are custom­ tuned to support the “anatomical, acoustical, and behavioral differences” in how males and females experience sound. Skullcandy engineers have worked tirelessly to perfect headband fit as well as earbud size and shape and considerations for all three products (Knockout, Bombshell, and Dime) in the development process included acoustics, comfort and aesthetic design. Floral prints, rose gold finishes, and subtle stud embellishments add a bold feminine edge to the predominantly unisex category of accessory. We’ve had a test drive of the Skullcandy Dime in ear headphones and as well as providing great sound quality and comfort, the earbuds stayed in place after a good two minutes of moshing (purely for review purposes). The line will launch internationally on Skullcandy from June 1 for £29.99 ­- £79.99.
