What I Wore: Black and White (and a Giveaway!)

Dress: c/o emploi New York | Bracelet: Had forever (similar) | Bag: Hobo Bags (similar) | Shoes: Nine West ‘Flax’ | Lipstick: Revlon in Really Red

It’s harder than it should be to find work dresses that fit, flatter, AND are stylish. Should be easy, right? Marina Ufaeva had the same issue working for a major Wall Street firm. She desired clothes that were reasonably priced, fit well, and could go from the office to drinks afterwards. Instead of complaining, she created emploi, a line of comfortable and beautiful dresses. With employ, Ufaeva says, “our goal is to let a woman feel fashionable, feminine and unique on her own terms.”

emploi was kind enough to send me the Dupont Dress and I love how it skims the curves without being too revealing for the office, that the gathered skirt doesn’t add bulk but hides a tummy, and how the thick fabric gives good drape and opacity. The details are what take this dress from ordinary to extraordinary and show the thought put into a garment for a professional yet stylish woman.
