What I Wore: SORELstyle [Sponsored]

I’ve been a fan of SOREL boots for a long while, so when they asked me to style a pair of their current collection for fall, I was thrilled. While I own some sturdy snow boots, I always wanted something with a bit more… style, but could still handle the elements. Enter the Joan of Arctic Wedge Mid Boot, a hidden wedge, rugged sole, waterproof full grain leather, and bold original style. The mid boot has the height to keep ankles warm and dry in snow and slush; come winter I’ll likely be lacing these up over jeans and leggings. However for the dry fall months I decided to get a bit of a ’90s grunge feel and style the boots folded down like I used to do back in my college years.

I wore these boots for running around town all weekend and found them supportive, cushy, and the wedge adds style without sacrificing comfort. Reviews on SOREL’s site say to size down, but I chose my normal size so they’d be comfortable with thick socks. I’ve found some SOREL boots in the past to be hard to get on and narrow at the throat line, but these were easy to slip on and there aren’t any seams to cause rubbing or hot spots. The look is modern and bold and surprisingly versatile; the Joan of Arctic Wedge Mid Boot can be over or under jeans, and even styled in a grunge/utilitarian manner with leggings or tights and a casual dress.

I know I’ll be showing off my SORELstyle this fall and winter with these boots; you can do the same and win! Share your back to campus or fall look with #SORELstylecontest on Instagram or Twitter and you could win a trip to New York for teenVOGUE’s Fashion University, or one of ten $250 shopping sprees and SOREL boots.
