us & sports

we like sports. the understatement of the year. and we, meaning henning, and myself. so when the opportunity arose to see the kings play while henning was here, i jumped on it because i knew how happy it would make him. some of our very awesome family friends (here's to you, frk) have season tickets to the kings and offered up four of them. i knew that this would be the perfect opportunity to see my bestie, courtney, in what seemed like forever, and (believe it or not) neither one of us had met each others boyfriends. it's not like we've both been in these relationships for well over a year or aything...jeez... anyway, henning and lee's bromance blossomed faster than either of us girls could have imagined and hoped for. by the time we were having a pregame meal at in-n-out (best californian girlfriend award, coming up) henning and lee were talking sports non stop, lee even chose to sit next to henning at the game. this worked out perfectly because, a. they were in heaven watching/talking sports b. courtney and i had a million things to catch up on/expensive cocktails to drink
just look at those smiles and intense game watching.
now, i really do love sports. but, the spurs are my nba team so courtney and i can honestly say that we have no clue how the game went down, instead we decided that we needed to relive our high school days and take some mirror pics. because really, what isn't classy about paper towel wads, dirty counters, and open toilet stalls?!

we all remember this instagram:
cute right? well at least we were able to salvage one nice photo of us from the evening because the majority of the photos henning took of us looked just like this:
i think it went down like this: me: "what the hell is this?" him: "i thought you wanted a picture with the court in the background?" me: "more than half of the photo is empty seats, the other half are our floating heads." him: "take your own picture next time." me: "thank you for taking at least one decent picture of us girls." (trying to be sweet) him: "you're welcome!" me: "okay but if i'm going to have pictures on my blog and stuff you'll have to get better at this..." (que mumbled german words from him)
courtney showed him how it's done with this fab couple shot:
a quick favorite!
and by the way, the kings beat the blazers. henning had a blast. and now the kings are most likely being sold to seattle so...go me for being on top of it and getting tickets for the nba fanatic to experience his first game!
and for a trip down memory lane, last year when we saw the niners and giants play in SF!
hotttt.
