Fresh, Crisp & Clean

I'm just gonna come out with it and say that Dustin and I have a new home under contract. I have shy'd away from saying so in the past because, well, this is the fourth house we've had under contract since May. And thats not even including the houses we put offers on. Nashville is a hot place to buy homes right now, let me tell ya. Maybe in a month or so, I'll share the whole story, but the important thing is that we are getting a house. Saying it out loud makes it feel so much more real!

Since our house is just a few shorts weeks from being completely built, Dustin went with the contractor today to pick out paint colors, light fixtures, flooring and such. Oh, yeah, did I mention I am letting Dustin completely surprise me with...everything?? As you can imagine, I am so overly excited for closing day because not only do we get a house, I get to see what our house even looks like!! So, while my husband perused Home Depot, I spent a bit of my own time on Pinterest, getting excited about decorating our new place.

Dustin and I have a small budget, so it's perfect that my taste in decor right now is a look that is fresh, crisp and clean. Living out of a suitcase for a few months will teach one that you actually don't need half the crap you store away in your drawers and closets, so I am ready to live more minimally within our space. My thoughts are, the less stuff you allow to clutter up your home, the more people you can fit inside! Dustin and I are literally busting at the seams to have people at our house, all the time.

I am loving clean walls, floors and furniture with pops of fun colors. Its a look that screams "Morning", with both its feel of peacefulness and cheer, plus ample light! These photos are just a few of the inspirations I'm tucking away for September. If you are on Pinterest, you can see more of my pins here! Oh, and please say a pray for us, that there will be no glitches with making this home our own! Thanks a heap! ♥, mK
