Scalloped Skirt + a Few (more) Favorites
Another one of those posts where almost every piece I am wearing has a little story to go along with it.. Let’s start with the skirt, shall we?
I had the amazing opportunity to brunch with the girls from Annie Griffin Collection and Jen from Sail to Sable at Jen’s fabulous Upper East Side apartment a few weeks ago. (See a few Instagram snaps here, here, & here.) Jen has *hands down* the cutest and most fabulously decorated apartment that I’ve seen in New York. I wanted to move in, and still do! After a delicious brunch, the ladies gave us a fun monogramed gift bag with a few goodies to take home. Inside was this gorgeous purple scalloped skirt that I just can’t get enough of! Next up, this Bauble Bar necklace. I am kind of in love! I really like the light blue and brown stones, I think they are so unexpected and unique. Plus, the color combination surprisingly goes with almost everything… Even a purple skirt, for example!
Okay, how freaking adorable is this Michael Kors bag?! I’ve always had quite the penchant for anything mini. Mini Coopers, mini appetizers, heck, I even went through a phase in college where I wanted a mini piglet. As a pet. #blameitonthebooze
Anyway, I just couldn’t say no when I spotted this mini MK bag. I actually had the full-size version of this bag in college, but I just can’t get over this teeny tiny size. I was staying in Providence, RI for work a few weeks ago and had some time to kill so I popped into the mall downtown. I had been eyeing this bag online, but had no idea how small it really was. Once I saw it in person at the Michael Kors store, I was sold. Too cute for words! Now, the practicality is a whole different ballgame. I can fit my phone, keys, and that’s about it. Maybe my ID and debit card, too. Oh well, everything has a purpose and this bag’s purpose is to just be a little cutie.
