Swimwear365 Style Diary: 48 Hours in Ibiza

Looking to escape the mundane nine to five but used most of your holiday and thinking a long weekend in Cornwall just doesn’t cut it? Swimwear365 challenged me to blog about 48 hours in Ibiza; being branded the island that never sleeps there’s plenty to do in a short space of time, and relaxation isn’t what I have in mind! So grab that Thursday evening flight and I’ll see you on the white Island!
With no time to waste it’s straight to the hotel to dump down our bags and head to Ushaia for Armin Van Buurens’ closing party. Being the hotel outdoor hotspot, boho style is essential for white bed lounging; I’m wearing this loose-fit co-ord that requires minimal styling perfect for the plane to party transition. Luckily trainers are mandatory in Ibiza as this is just the start to the night’s plans and once the sun goes down we swap our shades for lipstick to up the glam factor before the short walk over to Space to dance the night away to Richie Hawtin!

It’s Friday and you’re nobody if you’re not seen at Ocean Beach club with champagne in hand! If you want to be noticed here amongst the crowd of beautiful people make a statement in something eye catching yet practical for dipping in and out of the pool all day. So of course I’m wearing pool slides with a platform, a floral retro highwaisted bikini that harmonizes beautifully with the turquoise blue waters, teamed with the summer must have kimono and adding that gold plated touch with these Linda Farrow statement sunglasses; perfect for people watching as they reflect the glistening sun.

From here we’re detouring back to the hotel to quickly freshen up and head over to Ibiza Rocks to grab dinner before Route 94 hits the decks for W.A.R. I’ve reverted back to my trusty trainers, threw on a sheer tshirt dress over the bikini set and worked a 90’s theme complete with choker and bumbag. The fun doesn’t stop here though; midnight strikes and W.A.R was just a warm up before we party on into the early hours at Music On Amnesia.

We’re up early Saturday morning to hire scooters and do some sightseeing of the picturesque Old Town of Ibiza. First stop is the golden coastline of San Carlos Vicente where we sink our toes in the sand and catch some morning rays wearing an apt palm print swimsuit. No girl’s trip is complete without a spot of shopping and San Carlos’ hippy market is ideal for finding bargains and alternative Ibiza fashion that I fill my backpack with. We browse and hit vintage treasure trove Hola Hola until Siesta then drive to the Marina to feast on a traditional seafood paella lunch and glass of sangria at Blue Marlin to kick off the afternoons activities. Good job I’m wearing a swimwuit as that sangria has given us pluck courage to do some last minute thrill seeking and cliff jump with a group we met over lunch!
Zoo Project is first stop late afternoon, we pit stop back to the hotel and get creative with our animal inspired costumes. I slip on a leopard print bikini and an unbuttoned shirt dress that I’ll button up later if we decide to be care-free and hit Sankeys before the flight home tomorrow; in Ibiza the party doesn’t stop so you should always be prepared!
It’s Sunday morning and that decision to go to Sankeys worked out perfect for us catching the sun rise on Bora Beach before going back to the hotel to collect our bags. A great end to our weekend in Ibiza and as sad as we are to leave we‘re amazed at how much of the island we’ve seen in just 48 hours!
