Neutrals are the fundamental basis that make up an outfit, they usually consist of those tonal colours such as black, white, grey and nudes that are building blocks to balance out the composition alongside print or bold colour. But today I want to talk about the 'new' neutrals that may come as a surprise to some and the ability to work these all together the same as you would a monochrome look.

Firstly the camel coat is undeniably a 'must have' again this winter, and that's due to it working so well with a variety of other colours by breaking up an outfit with a warmth that suits every skin tone.

The breton stripe is another must-have I have touched on before. This classic print works well with others and is also a great way to ease into including pattern to an otherwise simple outfit.

Lace has always been a traditional and elegant texture that adds interest to an outfit without committing to an obvious print.

Leopard spots have firmly planted themselves as a leading print that is here to stay season after season. Whether you want to make a statement in head to toe leopard, add a splash to an all black outfit, introduce as an accessory to break up a look, or clash it with another print, these spots are a favourite all round!

Shop a similar look:
// !function(d,s,id){var e, p = /^http:/.test(d.location) ? 'http' : 'https';if(!d.getElementById(id)) {e = d.createElement(s);e.id = id;e.src = p '://' 'widgets.rewardstyle.com' '/js/shopthepost.js';d.body.appendChild(e);}if(typeof window.__stp === 'object') if(d.readyState === 'complete') {window.__stp.init();}}(document, 'script', 'shopthepost-script'); //
