Porthkerris – The Lovely Seaside Town

Porthkerris?! Seaside town?! In which country!? Ah, well – in Rosamunde-Pilcher-Country! LOL

Yes, Mrs Pilcher named lovely St Ives in her books Porthkerris and described it as a town “which had already been discovered by painters from all over the country” (The Shell Seekers) and “roofs of houses, faded slate and white-washed chimneys, tumbled without pattern or order down the hill” (The Empty House).
Sigh. Yes, our visit to St Ives was really just awesome!

For this layout I only used a single sheet of patterned paper Dear Lizzy – 5th & Frolic – Cartwheel Court for the background (sewn onto a white piece of cardstock) and some stitching! The idea for this kind of stitching came from the very talented Miss Smith and her layout HERE. I love how she added some different colours into her trail of the plane and I tried the same with the colours of my layout. It took me ages (sort of) but I really love the outcome!

Some pieces of Studio Calico – Atlantic – Wood Veneer – Boats & Anchors, addictive Enamel Dots and another (stitched) anchor with the journaling completed this layout.
