I Know We’re Cool

Look of the Day – Can you imagine a 20-something year old lady wearing cropped tops and skater skirts? Yeah, that would have to be me! I’d like to think that I don’t look my age (so please don’t burst my bubble) and that I can get away with an outfit this youthful. I’ve become increasingly conscious when it comes to talking about age. I don’t know. It is weird!

“It’s hard to remember how it felt before
Now I found the love of my life…
Passes things get more comfortable
Everything is going right

And after all the obstacles
It’s good to see you now with someone else
And it’s such a miracle that you and me are still good friends
After all that we’ve been through
I know we’re cool…”

I can’t help but sing to this Gwen Stefani number whenever I decide to play some oldies on YouTube. I can recall the lyrics well too. Lol! Her looks, hair, and makeup? Not everyone can look good in both blonde and dark hair. Love it!

On rare occasions, conversing with other people can be such a relief. I went out with the bff last friday night. You know you’re getting into serious shizz when all you talk about are future plans, relationships, business, work and financial management. It made me think, are these the usual topics people my age engage in? My friend isn’t the serious type but boy did he take money matters earnestly. I never knew a thing about mutual funds and types of insurance before. We agreed on one thing though, that we don’t want to be financially unstable forever. We grew up seeing our parents jump from one business to another. Got broke, got back up, venture into new biz – the cycle repeats. It is a somewhat scary experience. We do not want to go through that again as much as possible. Average family problems. Another thing I’ve realized is how lucky I am (at least for me) that I don’t have to mingle with workmates. I don’t get to force myself to be nice to people every single day which seems to be a daunting task for me. The competitive workmate, the annoying one, the reliable one, the not-so-logical rules in the workplace are just some of the funny ones I get to ‘not’ deal with. Real world sounds terrifying for me but hey, we all have preferences. You see, this is what’s nice about conversations. You get to see beyond what other people see. Similarities, differences, convictions, and beliefs are just some of the things you discover – all in the art of a good convo.

Nowadays, I don’t think it is okay for me to wear girly pieces. It looks contradicting with the presence of tattoos but the clash doesn’t really bother me that much.

New bag that I bring with me on nightouts! I personally requested if I can include this one in the bunch. So cute!

My collaboration with Maxene’s Closet has been going well and I’m grateful they chose me to review and flaunt their products out! The design and durability is impeccable!

These are supposed to be midi rings! Check out Rarelove Jewelry

Anyway, here are the other photos:

Stay wicked!
