Night of Glamour boobs and bums!
Last night i went to the Gilded Merkin. A fantastic burlesque and cabaret show in Nottingham, which last night celebrated its first birthday. Its hard to believe that its been running a whole year already and as shows sponsor i have been to every show. A massive congratulations to Scarlett Daggers who is the lady behind the glitter, its because of her this past year i have seen some amazing performers, many of which are big on the scene and some i hadn't even heard of.
I made this custom dress for Scarlett in her signature Gilded Merkin colours, the hostest of this fabulous show needs a fabulous dress to mozzey with the guests! Its a black satin faux wrap dress with gold lame water fall accent and bust wing tip. This dress really accentuates Scarlett's teeny tiny waist, doesn't she look stunning in it?
Apart from seeing an fantastic show, one of the reasons i like going to the Gilded Merkin is that its a chance to really dress up. Its great to see everyone in the audience make such an effort and they all looked fantastic. As show sponsor it was one of my duties to pick best dressed. This is what i wore, a vintage handpainted sequined vintage Mexican velvet circle skirt, i teamed it up with one of my velvet bustiers. This skirt is what inspired the bustier. My shoes are bordello Genies from Cherry Berry Kiss.
