Cool, retro og sindsygt pænt. Det er hvad jeg mener om denne uges Amazing Space.

Hvis du for blot et par år siden havde spurgt mig, hvad jeg syntes om mosaikfliser på badeværelset, havde jeg ikke haft lutter pæne ord at smide efter det. Jeg ville sandsynligvis mene, at det både var gammeldags og kikset på den rigtige kiksede måde. Men i dag ser det altså anderledes ud. Jeg er fan af når folk tør at vove sig ud i et anderledes look på badeværelset især i stærke farver og anderledes retro fliser. Så bliver badeværelset til noget specielt og ikke bare rummet, hvor du går på toilettet eller tager et bad.

Fx som her, hvor man har turde at gå all-in på et mosaikbadeværelse i turkis og aqua nuancer. Hold det simpelt og kombinér med sæsonens helt store metal tendens, messing, på vandhane og bruser og enkelte elementer i naturlige materialer. Tilsæt et par antikke ’slå-ud-spejle” og voila: et gennemført og top fedt badeværelse med referencer til marrokansk inspireret stil, som du med garanti vil smile til hver morgen, når du børster tænder.

Cool, retro and insanely beautiful. That’s what I think, about this week’s Amazing Space.

If you, just a few years ago, had asked me, what I thought about mosaic tiles in the bathroom, I honest, wouldn’t have had any nice words to say about it. I would probably say that it was both old-fashioned and outdated. But anyway, today it looks different and I have luckily changed my point of view.

I’m a fan of when people dare to try a different look in the bathroom especially in bright colors and retro tiles. Then the bathroom will be something special and not just the room, where you go to the toilet or take a shower.

Like this amazing space of a bathroom, with turquoise mosaics all over. When you keep it simple and combine the retro tiles with the season’s major metal trend, the brass, on faucet and shower, and add a few elements in natural materials, then it can be pretty cool. Add a few antique ‘turn-out-mirrors” and voila: an awesome bathroom inspired by the Moroccan style, you are guaranteed to smile at every morning when you brush your teeth.
