Trompe l’œil

If you’re wondering, I’m wearing double navy in the diptych above. You’ll also catch a glimmer of my new favourite foot appendages: my Birks.

Seriously, if you haven’t got a pair now at least get one to wear at home. In fact, now that they’ve gone from ‘thing’ to full blown trend, you’d be able to prance about (comfortably) in them without too many questioning stares — and the people who do stare are just basic bitches in denial.

Back to this navy-on-navy, cotton-on-corduroy situation. It’s a subtle change to my uniform of t-shirt and jeans. The best part is that if I tuck my shirt in a little, it looks like a jumpsuit.

Speaking of jumpsuits, I tried one on at General Pants a while ago. (It’s by Lee, you can buy it here.) A girl working there said she was surprised I tried it on, because apparently it’s been in stock for a long time and nobody has dared do so. I’m considering going back and begging for it.
