DIY Christmas Card Display

Each year I try to come up with a new DIY Christmas Card Display. This year I wanted to make something that could be used for other occasions. I also made it so I could use it for food photography. I took a few different tutorials I found online and combined them to make this.

DIY Christmas Card Display

Materials Needed:
Directions:
  • First get your 8 ft long boards cut at Lowes. They will do it right there at the store for you in the package. I did 2.5 feet, 2.5 feet, and 3 feet. I used the 3 foot one for my Card Display.
  • These board have grooves. Put a little wood glue in the grooves and press together.
  • Let this dry overnight.
  • Take half of your brown paint and mix with water. You will want about a 50/50 ratio.
  • Brush on this brown paint mixture all over your board. Then wipe down with a cloth.
  • Let that dry for 10-15 minutes. I left one of my boards this way. I plan to paint the other with a very light coat of white paint.
  • For my Card Display I used a green and brushed it all over the brown. Then I took another cloth and wiped it down.
  • Let this dry over night.
  • Wrap around the twine and hot glue to the back to hold in place. I used little mini clothespins.
  • I took another piece of twine and attached to the top with a lot of hot glue to hang it on my wall.

Here is our card that I ordered from Pear Tree Greetings. It is actually a magnet. I love how it turned out.

They are having 40 % off all their Holiday Cards today! If you still need cards head over now to order them.

Disclosure: I am a Pearista for Pear Tree Greetings. I was sent the Christmas Cards in exchange for my post. No other compensation was given. All opinions are my own. Post may include affiliate links.
