Mr. Ugly Mug and I have started a weekly tradition of going on a hike every Sunday, whether it be in the morning or the evening, Superbowl Sunday or hungover, we will be going on a weekly hike.

I love the idea of sharing a healthy lifestyle with Ugly Mug. I really turned around my lifestyle a few years ago with clean eating and working out regularly, but lately I feel I have been a bit too relaxed. Thank you holidays! I think we have both decided to really take a healthy lifestyle seriously, aka #sweatingforthewedding. The wedding isn’t the only reason I need to kick my butt back into gear, but it sure is a damn good motivator!

Motivation is key to keeping myself on track. Even if I don’t have a special event coming up, all the motivation I need most days is knowing that I am treating my body well and I will feel good, both physically and mentally.

It’s easy to get into a rut, especially when working out and eating healthy. Let’s be honest, it can get boring. I am going to challenge not only myself, but YOU to stay motivated by being creative. I want to begin doing more creative work outs and experimenting with more creative healthy recipes. You don’t have to stick with boneless, skinless chicken breasts and steamed vegetables to be healthy! And if you do, then I need to rethink this whole thing.

One way we can stick together and motivate each other is by leaving positive comments on my health posts, instagramming motivating photos and tagging #seekinghealth, and sharing ideas on on Twitter with the same hastag, and pinning to share work our ideas and healthy recipes! Let me know if this is something that you are interested in. I know I don’t have a huge following like other bloggers, but even if one of you want to do this with me, we can be successful!
