Graduation and New Beginnings

Today I said good-bye to an amazing group of students, most of whom are graduating on Saturday. We spent the semester learning about child psychology and ourselves and discussing difficult and controversial issues. Their grace and commitment to learning made our class together a joyful learning experience and I’m so thankful that I got to know each of them.

As a teacher, it is an amazing gift when I have the chance to work with students who are willing to challenge their own viewpoints and respectfully listen to other perspectives. As a community, we can learn, grow, and explore ideas together in safety. It’s the best experience that education can offer.

Congratulations to all of you who are graduating soon! May this new phase of life be full of exciting new opportunities and chances to use your gifts and talents to make this world a better place. Blessings.
