"A snapshot of my littles, once a week, every week, in 2014."
Sometimes I wonder how my words and actions will affect the person you become. I hope my influence shines on a positive light, but I am not naive in the fact that I am human and have off days. Days that I am not at my best, I hope these days do not outweigh the number of good days in your memory of childhood.
I know you feel frustrated when I make you apologize for something you shouldn't have done, or make you repeat the same thing you just stated with the word "ma'am" at the end. I know you get upset when I don't stop my conversation mid-sentance to listen to what you have to say, instead reminding you to say "excuse me" and then wait your turn patiently or when I ignore your plea for something to drink until the word "please" is used in your sentence.
I hope as you grow older, these small life lessons stick, and one day you'll look back and be thankful you were taught manners and respect for yourself and others.
Manners are important. Respect, both for yourself and others is important.
