Tarot reading 9 : Business advice

Question: I’m an artist and astrologer/tarot reader and these are VERY important to me. I incorporate them in my coaching business. My question is: am I going to be able to live a professional life from my business only? What recommendations can the tarot give me so that I can make it happen?

Tarot reading using the Light Grey Tarot

First let me say, this one is close to home. Even though I don’t personally run a coaching business, I still envision my path as primarily a tarot reader / astrologer / yoga therapist. I currently work as an Environment Officer, and I think I’ll always be involved in the environmental field in one way or another, but long-term the main vocation will be tarot-related. But I digress.

For this spread I used the Light Grey Tarot, which is an artistic collaboration of 78 artists, hence why there is a mix of styles represented in the cards. The spread is as follows:

Cards 1, 2, and 3 – Recommendations and advice for you (what you need to do to make it happen): 2 of Cups, Ace of Pentacles, the Hierophant

Cards 4, 5 and 6 – Outcome: 7 of Swords, The Chariot, Queen of Pentacles

As advice, the 2 of Cups refers to forging a genuine relationship with a client. This is a card of reciprocal exchange between two people, and the exchange is open, trusting, and forms a deep bond. This isn’t to say you don’t already do this, of course. Certainly it is something to continue doing, and to ensure you create this for each client. This is a card of really connecting with the other person. Next, the Ace of Pentacles: to me, this spoke of getting a new website or web material / networking. All Aces are about new starts, but with this card, there’s all the little houses and pathways between them, which instantly said “network!” to me. Connectivity is the key here. Finally, the Hierophant advises you may want to consider teaching or running workshops or similar. You hold the knowledge you need to do this.

The outcome, in a nutshell, lets you know you can certainly make it work and live a professional life from the business. This is shown by The Chariot (success, courage, achievement, triumph, confidence) and the Queen of Pentacles, which stands for material comfort. The Queen of Pentacles is not necessarily about being very rich, but she certainly is in a comfortable position and knows how to handle the practical realities of business. This is one of my favourite cards in this deck, for it shows a serene and warm environment, connection with the natural world, and the character in the card looks rather content. As for the 7 of Swords, I see this as ongoing learning for you. The Swords are all about mental inquiry and thought, and the 7 of Swords in this case is about learning, though its more traditional meaning is that of being the “lone wolf”.

I hope this has provided you with insight and answers, and I thank you for your request.

Blessings,

Monica

Feedback Update:

Thank you so much Monica, I just read it and it sure gives me all the insightful information I was looking for. We as Tarot readers have sometimes some difficulties when it comes to make readings for ourselves but as I saw your spread I immediately saw what I have been seeing for months now: the Hierophant and the Queen of Pentacles have been a constant in my own personal readings, really guiding me to do more of coaching, workshops, etc to be more connected to people in those ways.

And wow the Ace of Pentacles, definitely need to put a website out there.

Thank you so much Monica, it was a very intuitive and resourceful reading.
