The Pumpkin Show

Last week I took a trip home to Ohio for the first time in three years. Part of it was visiting friends and family, part of it was a buying trip, and part was to enjoy this kitschy carnival in my hometown called the Circleville Pumpkin Show. See more photos (and goats!) after the jump.

The weather was surprisingly nice, so I was able to get away with this outfit sans tights! Fun fact: I took these photos behind the local theatre where I had plenty of stupid little dates with my high school boyfriend. Unfortunately, the theatre is closed down now, though.

And, oh yeah, goats! I love these silly little dudes. We fed them some carrots. I grew up in a really small farm town in Ohio, but I never grew up with animals and I still get excited on goats and cows and (obviously) pigs.

The rest of the festival, I spent with my family and by eating pumpkin donuts from Lindsey's Bakery, a great spot I used to work at in high school.
