Navy Knee Boots

Today’s outfit involves covering up as much as possible because let me tell you it is flipping cold. It’s a strange time for us Brits, the morning feels like someone left the fridge open overnight. It’s cold and incredibly annoying. By the afternoon everything has thawed out, and the layers we cram on first thing now become a huge nuisance. I sense this changing very soon though!

I used to hate wearing coats as a kid, I felt they were constricting, heavy and often swamped my boyish frame. Now I seem to have a slight outerwear obsession and see the importance of a coat not just for the obvious it really is the first part of your outfit people see alongside shoes. This makes it one of the most worthwhile pieces to invest in as you can wear the same coat everyday for Winter if you wish, try doing that with the same top or trousers! Not happening.

Investing does not mean you have to go buy that £400 Jaeger Camel coat, (Santa you reading this?) you can find great quality on the high street and I am very pleasantly surprised by George at ASDA at the moment. I picked up this coat, (actually chosen by my partner), and I have to say I love it. It works well with so many outfits and looks more expensive than £30.

Keeping the layering in mind I wore these new Missguided knee boots with my Zara skinny jeans and and trusty H&M tee. It’s a super casual look spiced up a little with the heel.
