It’s been a month since the last Top 40 post! Time is flying by. So let’s see what the charts offered up in the month of September.
1. Applause – Lady Gaga
I’m not a huge fan of Gaga, but her songs are pretty good at making you want to shake a leg. This one’s not her best attempt at that, but it’s got a beat for sure.
2. Closer – Tegan And Sara
This is a pretty fun song, despite some fairly inappropriate lyrics. It has a slightly weird tempo, maybe not up enough for dancing, but perhaps too much noise for dinner time. You decide. It’s a good song though.
3. Hold On, We’re Going Home – Drake, Majid Jordan
A nice slow jam for dinner time for you R&B fans out there.
4. Give It 2 U – Robin Thicke, Kendrick Lamar
Well, the title can give you an idea of where the lyrics are going. If you’re prudish like me you’re not gonna love this one. But if not, have a ball! I’m sure it’s fun to dance to.
5. Live For The Night – Krewella
A groovy dance song. Boom.
6. Slow Down – Selena Gomez
Another fun one. I can tell you from experience that at your wedding, you are gonna wanna “slow down the song,” just like Selena. It goes by way too fast.
