Meet Sareng, my newest catfish! Its name is inspired by the Malaysian myth of a catfish said to have gold in its gut, and that whoever tries to steal it away would be cursed! :O

I was actually looking for a different breed of catfish when this particular one caught my eye. It had koi like patterns on its back and is rather unique and beautiful. I asked the petshop lady what is its specific breed and she didn’t know either. They just had the fish with them for sometime now and no one bothered to purchase it. But how can you not like it?!?! It really looks like a koi from above, except it isn’t, and that it is a catfish! It’s currently 9 inches long. Pretty cool fish whose breed I know nothing of. XD
