Back in the lob territory and I couldn’t be happier about it.
I desperately needed a cut. Every salon visit prior to today involved a nervous giggle at the suggestion of a trim and a joke that my split ends would “self-cut” themselves.
Ha. Ha. Ha.
No.
Over the last couple of months the bleach dabbling had taken it’s toll and no amount of overpriced serum could disguise the fact that my hair was (
insert rude word here). A visit to Anthony at Pastels was therefore on the cards and I popped in this afternoon to address the damage. He chopped off 3-4 inches of dried out locks and I am no longer embarrassed about the condition of my hair. It feels very cathartic.
In a move that might sound contradictory, I also got my balayage refreshed. I know that over-coloring has probably been the evil that has damaged my hair more than anything but balayage can be gentle (sorta) and it adds so much depth and texture that I just can’t get away from it.
Blah blah blah. I just like playing with colour. I'll now do what I always do - promise to treat my hair with respect (with dubious follow through). I'll start with good intentions though and kick it off with a spray of the
Oribe Soft Dry Conditioner. I picked this up yesterday as Oribe is now for sale in Dubai (
honestly, this is a weight off my teeny tiny mind as I no longer have to ration the Dry Texturizer) and if it proves to be amazing I will let you know!
