Cut/grow/bleach/repeat

Back in the lob territory and I couldn’t be happier about it.
I desperately needed a cut. Every salon visit prior to today involved a nervous giggle at the suggestion of a trim and a joke that my split ends would “self-cut” themselves.
Ha. Ha. Ha.
No.
Over the last couple of months the bleach dabbling had taken it’s toll and no amount of overpriced serum could disguise the fact that my hair was (insert rude word here).
A visit to Anthony at Pastels was therefore on the cards and I popped in this afternoon to address the damage. He chopped off 3-4 inches of dried out locks and I am no longer embarrassed about the condition of my hair. It feels very cathartic.

In a move that might sound contradictory, I also got my balayage refreshed. I know that over-coloring has probably been the evil that has damaged my hair more than anything but balayage can be gentle (sorta) and it adds so much depth and texture that I just can’t get away from it.
Blah blah blah. I just like playing with colour.
I'll now do what I always do - promise to treat my hair with respect (with dubious follow through). I'll start with good intentions though and kick it off with a spray of the Oribe Soft Dry Conditioner. I picked this up yesterday as Oribe is now for sale in Dubai (honestly, this is a weight off my teeny tiny mind as I no longer have to ration the Dry Texturizer) and if it proves to be amazing I will let you know!
