Nothing to Disclose I was so incredibly relieved when OPI introduced the Gwen Stefani collection, as I was beginning to doubt my devotion and love of the brand. I honestly haven't been even mildly excited about any recent collections from OPI and it was starting to get me down. But luckily this collection caused me to make my first OPI purchases in about a year, and I couldn't be happier.
I purchased both
Love.Angel.Music.Baby and
Push and Shove. I may go back for
Hey Baby because bright pinks look ridiculously flattering on my nails even if they're not my favorites to wear. #humblebrag.
Love.Angel.Music.Baby is a cool toned gold with a foil finish. This one is packed with shimmer that dissipates slightly as it dries to it's satin finish. I prefer to amp the shimmer back up with a layer of top coat, as I feel this polish truly shines when it's, well, shiny. The shimmer in this polish is very monochromatic, which allows for a uniform but still interesting sparkle in the sunlight while still maintaining a very classy and understated manicure.
I was incredibly pleased at how the cooler toned gold flattered my skin tone as I usually have little luck with silvers, however I've seen a swatch from a blogger with darker skin and it was even more stunning! This is definitely a color that will likely compliment a wide range of skin tones. My swatch is two coats of
Love.Angel.Music.Baby with base coat but without top coat (as the brand intends it to be worn).
