Mad For Plaid

Now that temperatures in California are getting chilly (if you can call 67 degrees chilly!), those of us on the West Coast can finally start to bundle up and enjoy fall fashion. And if there’s one print that epitomizes autumn, it’s plaid. This classic pattern mixes and matches with other prints so seamlessly that it’s almost become a neutral! Old Navy has a ton of stylish plaid options right now—we’ve already fallen for their puffer vest.

On a recent trip running errands around town, our founder Taylor Sterling stepped into a charming coffee shop for an afternoon treat (and a chance to escape the rain!). She donned her plaid vest with Old Navy skinny jeans and rain boots for a classic outdoorsy ensemble. One of our favorite ways to style plaid is with stripes—it’s slightly unexpected yet doesn’t feel forced. The trick is to pair plaid with similarly colored patterns that aren’t too bold. This vest would also look fab with a chambray shirt or a simple dress and boots!

“This vest is great for California weather. On days when there’s no need for a heavy coat, this vest keeps me warm while I’m outdoors and comfortable while I’m indoors. I appreciate pieces that are functional and stylish.” – Taylor Sterling

Taylor Sterling wears an Old Navy Vest and Jeans, Rag & Bone Shirt (similar), Hunter Boots and Cuyana Bag.
