Spring Stripes

This was the first weekend that I felt like spring had actually arrived for good. It was raining most of last week, but this weekend the sun came out in full force and the temperature was a blissful 50 degrees.

I had a really great weekend. Saturday my friend had a birthday party in Tribeca. First we all met up for drinks, then went dancing. The music was pretty great and it felt so good to cut loose and be silly on the dance floor. On Sunday my roommate and I decided to take advantage of the nice weather and went out to run some errands.

We picked up some new clothes for him at Banana Republic, some tasty eats from my fave, Bedford Cheese Shop, and best of all, fresh flowers from a local vendor. I’m looking at these tulips sitting in my windowsill right now as I type this and I’m feeling pretty content. Sorry to get all gushy on you guys, but recently I’d been feeling more down than up, so it’s nice to be experiencing these little moments of happiness.

The flowers have even started to bloom in the park near my house! Since the temperatures were relatively warm, I was so ready to bare my legs in my quilted miniskirt from Target. I felt like sporting some color, so I wore my bright coral striped top from Aeropostale. I also put on my comfy, new sneakers. It’s hard to tell in the picture, but there are little silver threads running through the fabric. Ahhh, weekend, thanks for being so good to me. Please come back soon.
