The Best Holiday List App Out There

In the great paper vs. tech organization debate, I clearly side with tech. It’s not that I don’t love writing lists (because oh, I do), it’s because once I write out said list … it rarely makes it into my purse and to the store with me. More than likely, it remains on my desk at work or my kitchen bar, where I wrote it. Thus, making sure said list is also in my phone is a ‘must’ for me. Most of the year, my favorite list app is Clear (super simple, super fast, super pretty - download it), but with the holidays coming up my new favorite is The Christmas List app.

I’ve actually used this app for the past three years, and seriously love it. It has enough features that it satisfies my inner detail-freak, but is super easy and quick to use when I need to add/change something – plus? It’s only 99 cents in the App Store (sorry Droid users, I'm honesty not sure if it's available for you guys). Some of my favorite features:

- Add in everyone you need to get a gift for, and then group them together … family, friends, work, etc.
- Upload a photo for each recipient, or use one of the app’s super cute holiday graphics instead.
- Add in gifts and select whether they’re to-buy, bought, what store they’re from, how much you spent, etc.
- Take a photo of the item so you know what to shop for later
- See you’re progress in both bar graph and pie chart form (#nerdalert)
- Password protected … from Sneaky McSneakersons!

The Christmas App helps me maintain my sanity so I’m not always wondering, ‘how much have I spent on this person?’ or ‘what else do I need to buy for this person?’. I can easily keep myself on budget, and check things off my list when I get a new Amazon box in the mail. Definitely one of my fav apps for the season!
