Gift Guide for Little Boys – 2013

I don’t know about the rest of the country, but we’re iced in here in DFW, Texas. Even though our satellite is covered by frozen tree branches (and therefore blocking any access to television), our internet is still working (thank goodness). So what I am I doing this weekend? Internet shopping, of course. With Christmas just a few weeks away, this OCD gift-giver is making sure all the presents are listed, purchased, and en route to the Tottum’s household.

Every year I post a gift guide of sorts about what I’m getting for both boys – please know that this guide is not sponsored in any way. None of these companies sent me anything for free. I’m not paid to mention their products. This is just me, a mom of a 5.5 year old and almost 3 year old little boy, listing off items that I’m hoping my kiddos will be excited to find under the tree this year. Also, most products will be linked back to Amazon (because let’s be honest, I’m an Amazon WHORE and that’s where 90% of their gifts were purchased from) with my affiliate link.

I have no idea why, but every year I end up putting together their lists with some kind of ‘theme’. This year, the Mouse’s theme is everything Skylanders and Star Wars.

Highlights:

Skylanders Swap Force starter set

(for Wii)
Skylanders SWAP Force Signature Series Strategy Guide

POWER A Skylanders SWAP Force Travel Tote

Lego Star Wars Minifigures of Lando Calrissian in sail barge disguise

Star Wars duffel bag
LEGO Star Wars Character Encyclopedia

The Froggy was REALLY hard this year. He has completely skipped over the whole ‘toddler toys’ stage, and gone right to ‘big boy’ toys … mostly because of his brother. If the Mouse isn’t playing with it, he doesn’t want to play with it. So, then what do you buy a not-quite-three-year-old who has a big brother that already has EVERYTHING? I went with a ‘Jake and the Neverland Pirates’ theme for the Froggy. He’s a big fan, and I think he’s going to be really excited.

Highlights:
Jake & the Neverland Pirates fleece throw

My First Look Find Jake and the Neverland Pirates

LEGO Jakes Pirate Ship Bucky

The items pictured above are mostly ‘Santa’ gifts … but anything under the tree (from us) will be centered around the same themes. Which brings me to my next list – stocking stuffers:

Don’t make fun of the underpants. We’re only 90% potty trained on the Froggy – you can’t have too many pairs of Jake and the Neverland Pirates underpants. Also? I promise to only steal one of the hairy moustache stickers. Maybe.

Merry Christmas, everyone!
