Today’s makeover is of a very beautiful woman named Sandra. She is my sister Rachel’s mother in law.
Originally from brazil she met her husband David while he was visiting her country, they became good friends and eventually she agreed to move to the states and marry him. I love hearing him describe the day he watched her get off the plane. She was wearing a white dress and her long gorgeous blue black hair was blowing around her smiling face. He says she is the most beautiful woman he’s ever seen. I believe him.
Guess what?! This makeover has one major twist!
I DIDN’T DO IT!
My sister Rachel did!
If you’ve followed the blog for very long you’ve already heard a lot about my big sis (here’s her Angelina Jolie Makeover from forever ago)
She is also a makeup artist and thank goodness for her because she’s been helping me a lot of my makeup consults since I’ve been sick. She does a beautiful job and it’s nice to know that I have someone who can do it just as good, if not better. (if you’d like to schedule with her shoot an email to me [email protected] and request Rachel.)
It was her obsession with makeovers and beauty that inspired mine. I’ve always known that was my beginning but it wasn’t until last week that I wondered for the first time what it was that got her into it.
When I asked she had to think for a minute and then she blurted out “I think it was glamour shots!”
Cause of course it was glamour shots. Those magical images of hair sprayed flower bang perfection would be enough to inspire anyone’s life long love beauty.
Exhibit A: One of my favorite’s from Rachel’s shoot:
Also I better let you know what Sandra’s wearing on her face:
