I always loved the idea of creating posts that offer a "snapshot" into my life. This particular morning, my husband and I went for breakfast (something we can do now that the kiddies are both in school...yes!) at one of our favorite local spots. When we got there and saw we were the only ones dining, we took advantage and snapped a few pics. It really is a charming spot, with GREAT coffee! Being a coffee lover, and being as the nearest Starbucks is 15 minutes away, I am very grateful for this little gem. I also love being able to support local business. Yes, this particular morning I opted for tea as I already had my two morning cups of java, but typically I can't resist.
And what a happy coincidence that my new vintage scarf matched the decor perfectly!

Style Tips:
Find a hat and a scarf that you love, they really do add interest to an otherwise basic outfit.
Get a larger scarf with substance, that will hang and create a more "easy" vibe. Check out my "option"above

New trend to try? Little black socks with your loafers or booties. I was never into the socks-and-heels -look, but this one is a lot more subtle and hey, it's more comfy and practical. Play around with the proportions. Here's another cute example.
