That Kind of Right

The office is deathly quiet today, save for the few times I've rammed my foot into the pile of cardboard boxes that are getting far too comfortable in my cube and I yelp. It's a day before Chinese New Year, so a lot of people aren't in, all (I'm guessing) pouring themselves into Chinatown and doing some frenzied bak kwa shopping (mmm bak kwa). Which is fine, which is nice if anything. Because that means a bit more uninterrupted periods where I can actually think quite clearly. That and the fact that I can have both sides of my headphones on because there's a decreased likelihood of someone calling for me. On most days I have one side tucked behind my left ear just in case someone hollers. It's ridiculous but you get used to it.
