Dior Fall 2014 - Swatches

Are you also already looking forward to seeing fall collections? I showed you a preview of the new Dior Fall collection some days ago (HERE) and ever since, I've been excited to try some products from this gorgeous collection!

I've got a nail polish, a lipstick as well as one of the eyeshadow palettes from this collection to show you today.
So let's start with the nail polish, 206 Pied-De-Poule! Pied-de-Poule (meaning "houndstooth") is a gorgeous greige creme. Formula is divine, very easy to work with. I used 2 coats. I really love this color, it's not too dark, not too light, just the perfect neutral color that you can wear for any occasion and that will always look classy!

And of course, I had to add a houndstooth pattern ;D I used Moyou London Pro Collection XL - 07 and stamped with Konad special polish in black.

As you can see on the picture below, Pied-De-Poule is quite different from Dior Yacht or Chanel Frenzy. I first thought they might be similar but not at all!!

Then we have the lipstick called 869 Rouge Massaï (Rouge Dior line). Rouge Massaï is a warm red lipstick with a subtle, natural sheen. Its texture is very comfortable on the lips. It feels lightweight yet luxurious. It's just creamy enough to be easy to apply but not too much that it slips away. It's also nicely hydrating. By the way, if you haven't tried a Rouge Dior before, you have to because the formula is just awesome with a very good pigmentation. I also have the impression that this lipstick can really sculpt your lips, making them smoother and fuller! I wore it for 4-5 hours and then had to do some touch up but I still had some color on the lips.

You can find a comparison below with Diorific Minuit (reviewed here) and Rouge Dior 999 (reviewed here). Minuit is more fuchsia whereas 999 is a pure red. Rouge Massaï lies in between.

And finally we have the 5 couleurs eyeshadow palette called "876 Trafalgar". You have to know that Dior revamped its permanent line of 5 couleurs eyeshadow palettes and added 12 new palettes (see here)! The packaging of the palette is a bit different: a very dark almost black navy blue box, slimer, and it comes with a set of professional applicators.
Ok, first let me tell you I have a soft spot for red eyeshadows so imagine how happy I was when I discovered Trafalgar! Trafalgar is actually a burgundy and bronze palette. Everything that I love because these are the colors that look the best with my eye colors (brown-green).

#1 (upper left corner) is an iridescent pale pink with multicolored shimmer. It's not very pigmented but adds brightness to an eye look. It does wonders as an inner corner highlighter but can be very pretty over the whole lid for a fresh and subtle makeup.
#2 (upper right corner) is a pearly warm white with an iridescent pink shift. It is much more pigmented than what I first thought.
#3 (middle) is a gorgeous burgundy shade with a satin finish. It has a great color payoff and blends nicely. Honestly, I would buy this palette for this color alone, it's such a beautiful and unique color! And that's the kind of colors that make green eyes pop. It also works magnificently with brown eyes.
#4 (lower left corner) is a very warm gold with a touch of beige in it. It has a very good pigmentation and is absolutely stunning! I can imagine a look with it on the whole mobile lid with #5 in the inner corner and #1 as a highlighter! I have a crush on this color! It's also quite unique!
#5 (lower right corner) is a beautiful brown with plum undertones. It has burgundy sparkles in it. It's subtle but it adds a warm and burgundy background to this color that compliments the other shades in the palette very well. I also love this color!
Overall, I think the palette is just gorgeous! It's very well balanced in terms of colors and easy to use to create different looks.

So I hope you're excited about this collection as much as I am! Pied-De-Poule nail polish is the perfect neutral shade for fall. Rouge Massaï lipstick has such a stunning formula and makes your lips fuller. Honestly, what else can you wish for? That being said, if you have never tried Rouge Dior lipsticks (the ones with the black packaging), I hightly recommend you stop by a Dior counter next time you go shopping and ask to try one of these lipsticks, you will love the formula, I'm sure! Finally, I'm in love with the Trafalgar palette because I love warm shades. I especially love the burgundy, warm gold, and dark burgundy brown in this palette!
