Friday Fun!! Friday Fun!!
This week has gone by SO fast. Between a toddler and work I feel like I’m always running in circles. I have found that staying REALLY organized helps, though.
I currently own THIS organizer by Emily Ley and I LOVE it so much!! I’ve gone the Erin Condren route, and although I liked it a lot, this one has much more space for writing things like To Do lists, and there’s a sheet in the front to write down all your “go to” dinner ideas, which I love. I always find myself turning to it when I’m doing our meal plan and stumped.
She also sells a Life Binder, which I own. I intended on keeping it organized, but I end up shoving all my bills and odd and end mail in it and then I go through it on the first of the month. Sigh. I guess it’s better than piling it all up on my desk?
I finally got all caught up on Nashville so I could watch the new show this week. And now I need a new show to marathon watch on my iPad while I bake and work. Suggestions?
Lucy has not been napping this week and I swear it is going to kill me. My poor husband, by the time he gets home from work I’m in NO ONE TOUCH ME EVER mode. Because — all the hanging on!! OMG
I read this checklist the other day and it’s basically my Goose to a tee, so I guess it’s time to move to one nap. I’m sure it will be an adjustment, but hopefully it will work out better in the long run.
Still no walking, Lucy will take a step here and there but she’s content to crawl, dive and wallow in general. She has started throwing herself on the floor when she doesn’t get her way, then begins repeatedly banging her head on the floor. Because yes, this makes perfect sense.
Despite that, she’s getting SO smart!! She can say, “cookie” and knows the cookie cabinet, she knows “dog” and she understands most of what I tell her to do. She LOVES to have her teeth brushed (she’s got 14 of them with 2 more on the way) and she’s always trying to get me to brush them for her. Despite all the frustration and exhaustion, I really enjoy her little personality and sweet face!!
The other reason I’m stalking my mailbox? The Spring Noonday line is out!! I’ll do a post on it soon, but I finally ordered my samples and there are a few items I’m particularly excited about — like THIS and THIS.
I shared the recipe for this cake this week. Oh my gosh, so good and easy. Perfect Spring dessert!
