Silk Almondmilk Taste: Why I LOVE It!

One thing you’ve probably heard me mention about 549 times is that I hate milk.

Hate. It.

I’ve disliked milk for most of my life. I wish I could give you some deep, meaningful reason, but the reality is that it just grosses me out. I don’t like the taste, I don’t like that it comes out of a cow, and honestly, just looking at it makes me feel sad inside.

The main reason I know that my husband is my soul mate is that he feels the same way. Just kidding! I mean, I am not kidding that he hates milk, I am just kidding that it’s how I know we are soul mates. But it is certainly helpful for the health of our marriage. Could I still love him if he walked around the house gulping large glasses of milk in my face? Probably not. Truth.

Unfortunately, milk is a whole big thing. It goes in tea and coffee and hot cocoa and cereal. And while I don’t mind baking with it, milk most certainly has NO place in my tea or coffee or hot cocoa or cereal. And this is why I LOVE Silk Vanilla Almond Milk SO much.

I have been drinking Silk Vanilla Almond Milk since it first became available at my grocery stores, and it is the only milk I don’t even mind drinking plain. It tastes amazing (I can taste a hint of almond, which is super yum) and it’s from almonds and filtered water, not cows, so I don’t feel all weird and gross.

Each glass of Silk Vanilla Almond Milk has 90 calories, 50% more calcium than dairy milk, and no artificial colors or flavors. Win!

When my toddler Lucy was weaning off of breastfeeding and formula, I had the HARDEST time getting her to drink milk. I even read that you could mix a TINY bit of milk into her formula and increase that amount over time until she was drinking ALL milk. It didn’t work. That child somehow detected the tiniest amount of milk in her bottle and wouldn’t have a thing to do with it. After telling a few friends about how frustrated I was, they suggested trying Silk Almond Milk…and it worked! She drank it with no issue, and from there we slowly transitioned to normal milk.

If you aren’t a milk fan either, or if you have a child who you are struggling to get to drink their milk, I want to challenge you to try Silk Almondmilk. If you sign up for the Silk eNewsletter, you’ll get a FREE coupon to try Silk Almondmilk for yourself, AND opportunities to win prizes every month! You get to try it free, so what is there to lose?

I have no doubt that you’ll love Silk Almondmilk as much as I do — and if you love it and use it already, I’d love to hear your favorite way to use it! Smoothies? Recipes? Let me know!
