Been a while

Hey. So. Life. This semester has been incredibly busy, and emotional, and wonderful. Here's the break down:
  • I'm working 8-5 at my internship, and not taking formal classes. Once I'm done with this semester, I graduate. I love what I've been doing. My supervisor is great, and I'm learning a lot.
  • Job searching is time consuming. I've been applying for jobs sporadically all semester, but haven't had any response. This is partially due to inexperience with the job process, the timing, and the fact the the jobs have all been dream jobs. Things are getting more serious now, as I only have 2 months until graduation and I want to have a plan before then. On Thursday night I applied for 3 full time jobs and a paid internship. As a result of those applications I have 2 interviews, which is farther than I've gotten with any of the other jobs I've applied for.
  • The basketball season is ending this week. I've been playing in 2-3 games a week with the band. Frankly, it's been a bit of a love-hate relationship. I love band and I love to play, but the organizational side of things have been killing me. As sad as I am to be officially done with university band life, I'll be glad for the time back, the friends made, and the memories. Also, hello 8 hours a week free again.
  • I'm running my reproductive justice club. We meet for one hour a week and I spend on average four preparing for that meeting.
  • I got a part in the Vagina Monologues. I've loved the opportunity to spend time with and get to know some really cool people. Still, I'll be glad for that time back after the show in 2 weeks.
  • I joined the boxing club and I love it. We practice twice a week for 2 hours at a time, plus saturdays. Now that band is over I'll hopefully get to go to saturday practice. It seems like a huge time commitment, but I love this. It's fun, and I've become so much more confident in the short time I've been involved.
  • I still love my music fraternity, but I'll be glad when the exec board switches. I finally feel like I've settled in to my role, so naturally I'm ready to pass off to someone else.
  • Any free time I have is split between spending time with my favorite roommate, the boy, and marathoning sailor moon. And sleeping.

Currently it's spring break. I'm staying in town in a friend's apartment. Theoretically I'm working on my thesis, which needs to get done. I was planning on writing a chunk today, but ended up listening to music and tumbling instead. I have some plans to see friends, and to go home later this week. Should be fun.
I've heard this is something that wears off quickly once you live on your own, but I'm loving cooking this week. I got to plan meals and grocery shop, which was great. I've been spending a ton of time cooking, and when I'm not cooking this weekend I'm eating and planning out when to start the next meal. Will this be my post-grad life? Obsessing over delicious food? I think I would be okay with that.

I got this dress at Village Discount for $1.50. It's actually a 3XL shirt. With a belt it works, and it's velvet so I'm all shiny and soft and happy. Anyway.
After 2.5 years of blogging, I'm getting tired. I stopped writing, if you didn't notice, and I also stopped reading. I don't know if I'll continue blogging or not. But I felt cute today and felt reflective, which is the perfect blogging combo. I have a few things I want to write about, but we'll see if they happen or not. This whole college ending thing means things are changing. Maybe this will last through that. Maybe not. We'll see.
