Happy Thoughts for Thursday


I have a whole day off this weekend. I'm going to spend it writing and knitting and hanging out with friends.
Somehow I've managed to find time this week for 2 cups of coffee in the morning.
Writing. I'm behind on my Nano goals by about 6,000 words but I'm not upset, yet. I have grand plans to catch up this weekend. My project is still exciting and my cabin is nice and active.
Exercise! I'm trying to get back in to a routine. I've been to the gym twice this week. That's two more times than last week! Even though it's hard to stay motivated when I'm working out alone, I'm still doing okay at sticking with it.
Fun weekends. Last weekend I went out to a concert with a really cool friend and had a good time.
El español. Things have been getting a lot better. There are still phrases that are going completely over my head, but for the most part it's getting a lot easier to follow along in conversations. There's one woman in particular who I work with who is a tiny little powerhouse: she's an aerobics instructor and radiates energy, and she talks so. fast. I always feel great after speaking with her though, because I understand her and I find myself speaking more rapidly as well. Learning and learning.
Emails from friendly people. I've been emailing back and forth for the past 2 months with my former boss from my internship. She's a wonderful cross between a friend and mentor, and I love her. I'm glad she's in my life.
