Happy Thoughts for Thursday

Happy Thursday! It's cold! Hypothetically it's way too cold right now for July, but I actually love it. I think that 65 degrees is my ideal temperature. It's still warm enough to be bare-legged, but chilly enough to warrant a little bit of knitwear.
Plans to see friends. With the two work trips I'm taking in the next couple weeks I'm hoping to find ways to see some friends, even if it's just for an hour or two. What's a little road trip here or there, anyway?
NaNo Camp. I've mentioned a couple times that I'm participating in Camp NaNo, which is a challenge to write a 50,000 word novel in a month. I didn't do so great for the first week. Instead of giving up, I spent the last week typing frantically, and last night I finally caught up to my projected word count! I'm over halfway there! Now I just have to hope that I have enough of a plot left to carry me through the next two weeks.
Work shoes. Last week I did some shoe shopping, and now I have actual options when it comes to work shoes, instead of wearing the same pair every day. It makes leaving the house kind of exciting. I guess.
Students. Today I'm getting a student worker. I'll be their supervisor, and they'll be working with me full time for 5 weeks. Um. I'm excited for the help, but also terrified. I could potentially get a student who's older than me. We'll find out soon!
Skype time with Roommate. Always wonderful.
Pants. Right now I'm wearing pants. I'm definitely a skirt girl, especially when it comes to work clothes. I bought a pair of olive green khakis from gap, and I love them. If I could wear them every day I might, except then I might miss my skirts!
