Unless it comes to Mies van der Rohe’s chairs. Then more is totally more. The Barcelona, the Brno, the Tugendhat, the MR. I want it all. You don’t know you’re a chair freak until you’ve visited the Tugendhat villa. What a bomb. I especially loved the inner furnishings but all those functional details, the house’s structure and steel skeleton, wow, so ahead of that time it could be in this month’s Wallpaper* and pretend it’s a 2014 construction.
I won’t give of much more since less is more and it is totally worth a visit and seeing for your own eyes. If you have the opportunity, go. And cuddle up those chairs for me.

Jen pokud nejde o židle Mies van der Roheho. Pak je více opravdu více. ‘Barcelona’, ‘Brno’, ‘Tugendhat’, ‘MR’. Brala bych je všechny. Vlastně si vůbec neuvědomíte, že jste chair freak, dokud nenavštívíte Vilu Tugendhat. Zkrátka bomba. Já jsem si zamilovala hlavně vnitřní vybavení, ale celá stavba, ocelový skelet, vše tak nadčasové, že by to jej klidně mohl otisknout Wallpaper* v novém čísle.

Nebudu říkat víc, protože méně je více, ale hlavně protože vila opravdu stojí za návštěvu. Jestli máte možnost, jeďte! A trochu tam za mě pomazlete ty křesla.
