Mid-Week Coffee Break
… And yes, I know it’s Wednesday — but it’s been that type of week over on this end.
All good things, but nonetheless — that work/life/blog balance is tough at times. Ever feel like you’re trying to drink out of a firehose? (Picture it, if you need to.)
Anyhow, that’s why you’ll find me in an ensemble that’s super-simple today — yet totally 9-to-5 worthy (if you work in the creative field). Comfortable kicks, casually distressed denim and a faux fur vest layered over my favorite chunky sweater. And my world map necklace, of course — it’s the best conversation starter. It’s been rainy and damp in New York — but not quite cold — so this is my chic (and cozy) alternative to outerwear.
As much as I love, love, love the holiday season, it tends to make me feel like life is picking up speed with every passing day. Same for you, too?
I try to remind myself daily to take a breath, slow down and be present. And if you’re like me, that generally comes in the form of a quiet coffee break… Or as quiet as can be in New York City.
