Save The Date!!

I believe it is now the case that everyone destined for a ‘save the date’ card has received it, including those flung far and wide around the globe. This can only mean one thing… that I can share them with you, their concept and creation, without spoiling anything for those who awaited their little envelope in the post. Despite the fact that a few people we sent them to didn’t know what they were (bloody Brits) they were always going to be an important part of the process. For me, the save the date cards are a crucial start to the whole activity of building our wedding. They plant the seed, they mark the bench and they set the tone for the rest of the stationery, theme, colours and they say “Hey! We’re getting married soon, look out for other exciting stuff coming your way!” And do you know what else? Because I’m also making the invitations…our save the date cards give me time to get the invites finished and perfected without feeling panicked about the fact that everyone may already have plans for the date we have chosen.
