A Quilt For Dad

I have done one in the past but that is all so it’s not very often I get asked to make a quilt for a “Dad” …which is a shame really because I’m sure Dad’s like to be warm too! Let’s hear it for the DADS!! A lovely lady called Kristina contact me a little while ago about making a personalised quilt for her Dad, also known as Pops, as a gift for his 65th birthday. Her Dad has not been in the best of health and so spends a lot of time in a chair. Her thoughts on a quilt for him to keep his legs warm was touching and I’m honoured she asked me to make it for him. Because the quilts I normally make are cot size I extended this particular quilt by both a vertical and horizontal row of stripes to ensure it was big enough to wrap around and under Dads legs… With a little bit of snow still on the ground I hope it keeps him nice and toasty during his birthday celebrations!
